Recording and storage of personal data: what data is recorded and its purpose.
a) Visiting our website
When you visit our Website www.ppm-magdeburg.de, the browser of your device will automatically send information to our web server. The web server makes a temporary record and stores it in a so-called log-file that is automatically deleted. The following data are recorded and stored:
- IP address of the requesting processor
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the downloaded file
- Data identifying the browser software and operating system
- Web site from which our site was accessed
- Name of your Internet service provider
The purpose of recording these data is:
- to ensure optimal connection to the Website (connection setup)
- to ensure optimal use of the Website
- for system security and stability
- for further administrative purposes
The legal basis for the processing of this data is described in GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f) and we will only collect the data for the purposes as listed in this policy. The collected data will not be used to identify you or generate data about you. Furthermore, cookies and web analysis services may be used when you visit our website. Further details can be found under section 4 and 5 of this policy.
b) Newsletter registration
To register for our newsletter, you must actively have consented according to GDPR (Art. 6 §1-a) that your E-Mail address will be used to send you our newsletter. To do so we only need your E mail address.
You can cancel the subscription to our newsletter at any time. To do so, either follow the link at the end of the newsletter or send an e-mail to: info@ppm-magdeburg.de
c) Use of the contact form
In case you have a question, you can use the contact form available on our website. To answer such a question, we need a valid E-mail address to contact you and to understand the origin of the question. All other Information provided, is given on a voluntary basis.
In case you use the contact form you consent voluntary that the supplied data are used to answer your question according to GDPR (Art. 6 §1-a). Once the answer to your question is finalised and send, the stored data will be automatically deleted.
Transfer of personal data
Your data is not disclosed to third parties other than the cases stated below. We only intend to give your personal data to third parties in case:
- you have given explicit consent to do so as described in GDPR (Art. 6 §1-a)
- as described in GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f); the transfer of this data is required to ensure the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims, and there is no reason to believe that there a personal interest on your side to disagree with the transfer of these data.
- to comply with mandatory national legislation as described in GDPR (Art. 6 §1-c), also if
- it is legally allowed as described in GDPR (Art. 6 §1-b) and supports the efficient settlement of contractual agreements with you

Webanalysis
Tracking-Tools
The tracking tool operation is based on GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f). With the deployment of web analysis, we aim to improve the design and enable the continuous optimization of our website. We also use the tracking tools to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it with the purpose to optimize our offer for you. These interests are justified within the meaning of the GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f).

Social Media Plug-ins
To raise the profile of our organisation, we use Plug-ins of the social network Facebook on our website as allowed in the GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f). Within the GDPR, the underlying commercial purpose is believed to be legitimate. Responsibility for the operation compliance with data protection legislation is guaranteed by the individual providers of these plug-ins.
To protect our website visitors in the best possible way, these plug-ins are integrated by means of the so-called two-click method.
a) Facebook
On our website social media plugins from Facebook are used to personalize your visit. For this we deploy the “LIKE” or “SHARE” buttons. These buttons are operated by Facebook. If you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and incorporated into the website.
By deploying these plugins, Facebook is given the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you are not currently logged in or do not have a Facebook account. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the US and stored there. If you are logged in into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information will continue to be used and can be posted on Facebook or displayed to your Facebook friends. Facebook may use this information for advertising, market research and to tailor specific Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook uses usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website in relation to the advertisements displayed on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to collect and assign this data to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our website. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the data protection policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/) of Facebook.
b) Twitter
On our webpages plugins of twitter are integrated. These plugins (tweet-buttons) are recognizable through the twitter logo. An overview of our tweet-buttons you may find here (https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons). If you open one of our webpages which comprises such a plugin, a direct connection between your browser and the twitter server will be established. Thereby twitter receives the information that you with your IP-address visited our webpage. If you click the twitter “tweet-button”, while you are logged in into your twitter account, you may link the content of our webpages with your twitter profile. Thus, twitter is able to allocate visits of our webpages with their user account. We hereby emphasize, that we as provider don’t receive any information about the transferred data of the type of data usage through twitter. If you don’t want that twitter allocates the visit of our webpages to their user account, please logout from your twitter account prior to the visit of our webpages. c) Intstagram
Our webpage uses also social plugins (“plugins”) of Instagram, which are operated by Instagram LLC., Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The plugins are labelled with an Instagram-Logo, e.g. with an “Instagram-Camera”. If you visit one of our webpages which comprises such a plugin, your browser will establish a direct connection with the servers of Instagram. The content of the plugins will be directly transferred from Instagram to your browser and embedded into the page. Through this embedding Instagram receives the information, that your browser selected our webpages, even if you don’t have an Instagram profile or are momentarily not logged on to your Instagram account. This information (including your IP-address) will be directly transferred from your browser to an Instagram server in the US and stored there. If you are logged on to Instagram, the visit of our webpages can be allocated through Instagram directly. If you interact with the plugins, e.g. activate the Instagram button, this information will also be directly transferred to an Instagram server and stored there.
Moreover, the information will be published on your Instagram account and as such indicated to your contacts. If you don’t want, that Instagram allocates the information about you directly to your Instagram account, you must me logged out from your Instagram account prior to visiting our webpages. Rights of people who are involved
You have the right:
according to Art 15 of the GDPR you have the right to obtain information regarding your personal data that is stored and processed by us. Specifically, you can retrieve information regarding the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the category of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed and the planned retention period. You are entitled to disclosure of existence of an automated decision making including profiling and, if applicable, information towards relevant details thereto;
according to Art. 16 of the GDPR you have the right to have your personal data stored with us corrected or completed on your request.
according Art. 17 of the GDPR you have the right to request deletion of your personal data, as long as processing of this information is not required to fulfil the legal obligation to ensure that the rights to freedom of expression can be exercised and for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
according Art. 18 of the GDPR you have the right to demand the processing of your personal data to be restricted in case the accuracy of data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse the deletion of the relevant data and we don’t need the data anymore, but the data is of relevance for you in order to exercise of defend legal claims or you have objected against the processing of the data within the meaning of Art. 21 GDPR;
according Art. 20 of the GDPR, you have the right to request that we send you or another responsible person, your personal data which was provided to us in a structured and standardized machine-readable format;
according Art. 7 §3 of the GDPR, you have the right to revoke your once given consent at any time. As a result, we will stop processing the retrieved data based on the once given consent and will not process your data in the future;
according Art. 77 of the GDPR to complain to an inspecting authority. You may generally consult the responsible authority in your place of residence, your workplace or at the location of our association.
Right to file objection
As long as your personal data are processed in accordance with by GDPR (Art. 6 §1-f), you have the right to file an objection against the processing of your personal data in accordance with the GDPR (Art. 21). To do so there should be specific personal reasons. In case you object is directed against us sending you email messages, you have a general right of objection and is implemented by us without any further demand for information.
In case you want to use your right to withdraw your consent or want to use the right to object, sending an E-mail to buero@ppm-magdeburg.de is sufficient.
Data security
When you visit our website, we use the common Secure Socket Layer (SSL) process together with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Typically, this is a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit V3 technology instead. Whether the transmission of our internet page is encrypted, is indicated through the display of a key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We use up-to-date security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with on-going technological developments.
Updating and changing this privacy policy
This current data privacy statement is valid as of August 2018. Because of the further developments of our website, change of offered products/services or due to changing legal requirements, it may be necessary to change this privacy policy. The privacy policy that is currently valid can be accessed and/or printed out on our website.
